NEHBC, it will be all over the news today. SCOTUS is scheduled to hear the case from 9-11:30am CDT. How should Christ’s disciples respond?
First, of course, in prayer. Through prayer we seek the Lord about this matter. We prayed as a congregation last Wednesday in Midweek Worship and this past Sunday in Lord’s Day worship. I called us all to personal prayer at 10am today.
Second, be reminded that we have no need to panic or fear. Remain calm. The Lord said it would be this way. “Blessed are you when others revile you and persecute you and utter all kinds of evil against you falsely on My account.” Matthew 5:11 No matter what the court decides or what culture says about us, Jesus Christ is still Lord. Let’s act like it. Be velvet steel – resolved in the truth of God’s Word, deeply in love with all people.
Third, here are some videos of my recent teachings to equip you for this very matter:

Need a clear word from Scripture to strengthen your resolve to stand on Christ’s design for human sexuality? (20 minute video segment from a longer sermon)
Freedom of conscience to form your own beliefs without government and cultural pressure is essential to human flourishing. (4 minute video segment from a longer sermon)
