Here are some friendly reminders re: offsite parking on Easter Sunday –
Who should shuttle?
We want to reserve the church parking lot for guests and visitors, the elderly, parents of babies, and those who need handicapped parking. If you aren’t in this group of folks, we ask that you would join the pastors in parking at Atascocita High School.
Where is Atascocita High School?
AHS is located at West Lake Houston Pkwy and Will Clayton Pkwy, behind LifeTime Fitness.
The physical address to enter in your GPS: 13300 Will Clayton Pkwy, Humble, TX 77346
How will I know where to park?
Just pull into the AHS parking lot and look for the NEHBC signs pointing you to our reserved parking area. At this time, we understand Humble ISD has assigned NEHBC the section directly behind LifeTime Fitness.
Where do I pick up the shuttle bus?
Once you park, you will see our parking ministry folks and popup tents where we will line up to catch the bus.
What about the fact it is forecast to rain?
There will be waterproof, popup tents under which to wait for the shuttles if one is not already waiting when you walk up. Don’t forget your umbrella!
What about my child’s car seat?
Car seats are not required by law on shuttle buses in Texas so you do not need to bring one on the bus. Most shuttle buses are not equipped with the seat anchor systems that many car seats use. We are very concerned about the safety of all NEHBC children and have spoken to the shuttle bus company about this issue. They have advised that younger children should be held in a parent/guardian’s lap for the short trip from AHS to the church.
How much time should I add to my routine?
We will have a total of 4 shuttle buses running this Sunday for Easter services. There should only be a wait for shuttles during the peak times right before and after service and even then we hope it will be a short wait of less than 5 minutes. It would probably be best to arrive about 15-20 minutes earlier than you normally would to find a parking spot and shuttle over.
When does the shuttle run?
The first shuttle will leave AHS around 7:15 AM and the last shuttle will leave NEHBC at 12:50 PM. This should allow us to shuttle the people arriving early and those who stay late for baptism.
What else should I bring?
While we will have a few popup tents set up for those waiting for the shuttle bus, the forecast calls for rain this Sunday. Please be prepared and have an umbrella handy in your vehicle in the event it is raining this Sunday.
